From the outside, this state, one of the 7 Emirates, is a marvel of polished engineering in architecture, planning, social, and political. A big shining exhibition spread over a vast land of sand. I don't want to go into history, the city makes sure you will hear about the prince and the empire the family has built. In this state, around 4 million people are hosted, and approximately 1 million are localites working in tourism and governing authorities. Most of the governing authorities are from the descendants or close relations to the royal family. The state requires you to pay for an exchange of anything. And that is how the state makes money. Purchase tax on every item, flat 5%.

From the above the city separates into the new and the old indicated by the Frame. Make this the first on your checklist. The old city the Souq, holds spice, gold, and trade market. You can find almost everything and is a great place to walk and explore. The new city however is an attraction, The tallest tower, the costliest hotel, the biggest mall, the deepest dive... the palms. Hey, not judging, but it will ask you to dig your pockets deep. If you are looking to explore the culture of this state, it has evaporated!. It is a mix of tourists walking in no particular direction looking at the shining stones.

The infrastructure the city has built itself is worthy of every praise you will hear. The streets are clean. Every one is felt safe, yet no overlookers. Everyone follows the law and the state will make sure you have to pay a heavy fine otherwise. If you ever get into a dispute, walking in a government body is all you need to do, the state will pull every leg - free of cost until the trial is held. The city is planned out in a way you don't have to stand in a queue or a jam for more than 10 minutes. You won't hear a honk on the street, and the tire noise in a quiet car is all the city has to offer on a long ride. There is no rainfall here. Yet the city has a diverse cuisine of meats and marinated vegetables. For vegans, food will be your most paid expense. It's by law the city needs to be kept clean and every company in construction or fixing holds this. There is a dedicated person to make sure the dust from the drill doesn't spread.

On politics, the sheik is the prince. There is no democratic votes, the family appoints one for each of the 7 emirates on an internal family vote, and one among them represents the entire UAE. Yes, Dubai is not a country, it's one of the 7 states of the Emirates. The oil reserves are limited to the states controlled by the National Oil Company. So are the architecture and civil firms, They are family-owned. And nothing gets built in the new city until the prince approves of it. Media is heavily regulated. Every word is a praise of the king!. Hell, you can't make video / audio internet calls on their local network. It doesn't mean the city is clean. All kinds of things happen. It will just be muted If there is no bad publication - everything said is good.

There is a new attraction every year, so there is a repeat of visiting tourists. Flying taxis, Even taller buildings... It's a great place to visit. Maybe every 20 years. The city is very shining but living here is a nightmare.
